This concept provides a context where the infinity reels actually makes sense, something that’s lacking in most other installments in the genre. This also helps take the edge off the lack of closure you usually get when facing off against the vastness of infinity.
The visual presentation is solid, but you don’t get to go below the surface no matter how much your drill. This is a bit strange, as it would have been more fun to drill downwards per added reel. It’s far from a deal-breaker however, and we had quite a thrill-ride as the bonus round kept awarding lengthy drilling sequences with solid returns.
