Lumberjack 5 Review
We’ll be absolutely honest with you – when we got our hands on the first Lumberjack slot, we weren’t expecting it to get any sequels whatsoever. What we have in front of us now, however, is a game called Lumberjack 5. This particular release is a bit smaller, too, offering just 3 reels, 3 rows and 5 betways.
The theme of Lumberjack 5 is the same as the theme in all the previous Lumberjack slots, and, unfortunately, we have to say that the audiovisuals haven’t improved all that much since the first release. There’s the odd detail here and there, sure, but, overall, it’s nothing great to look at.
We aren’t all that transparent as far as the math models of their games are concerned, so there’s actually very little that we can tell you in this section. We can tell you, though, that the game’s volatility is medium-high, and that you can risk between £0.10 and £100 per spin.
Lumberjack 5 Slot Features
There are 10 pay symbols in Lumberjack 5, and it’s very much possible to divide them into 6 low pays, 2 mid pays and 2 high pays. For low pays, there are your usual card ranks from Nines to Aces, and these can bring you up to 6x your stake per combination. Then, there are foxes and lynxes, with these paying 8x and 10x your bet, respectively. Finally, there are bears and lumberjacks. Both pay out even in sets of two, and a three-of-a-kind combination of lumberjacks will net you a tidy 80x payout.
In addition to pay symbols, there are Fire Wilds and Cottage Scatters. Fire Wilds work as Multiplier Wilds, with each Fire Wild doubling wins in which it features. If you get 2 Fire Wilds involved in a winning combo, you’ll get a 4x win multiplier for it!
Landing 3 Cottage Scatters triggers the Free Spins feature with a set of 10 free spins. There are no retriggers, but each combo that you get will get locked for respins that continue for as long as you keep improving your configuration.
Review Summary
It seems to be quite intent on keeping the Lumberjack series going, but we aren’t convinced that it’s a justified decision. Lumberjack 5 isn’t a disaster of a game, but it just isn’t good enough given the rest of the competition.
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Multiplier Wilds | Rough audiovisual presentation |
| Free spins with respins | Not a particularly polished package |
| No major improvements over previous Lumberjack slots |
