Lucky Fishing Megaways is a straight-up reskin of another Megaways game, but fans of the fishing theme will probably enjoy the fun animations and cozy vibe. The original release has fared pretty well, and now players get a different world to explore.
Some may be disappointed that there is no reel ‘em feature to look forward to, but the top-reel fishing boat turns the 2 reels below into a solid wild reel catch on occasions. You get a progressive win multiplier with no upper limit in the bonus round, which is hardly original, and the 5,000x potential is unusually low for the Megaways engine. Other than that, this is a decent fishing expedition.
Lucky Fishing Megaways Slot Features
The premium symbols pay between 2 and 20 x your stake for 6 of a kind wins, and they consist of different-color fish symbols. The fisherman Wild steps in for pay symbols to help complete wins, but the wild can slide in on the top horizontal reel only.
The Tumble Wins mechanic removes all winning symbols from the grid, making room for new and/or existing symbols to drop down to fill the gaps. This process gives you indefinite extra wins per round, until you hit a non-winning tumble.
The 2-position Fishing Boat symbol appears on the top horizontal reel only, and it triggers a wild transformation feature when fully in view. Keep in mind, however, that a single gamble loss means the whole feature is lost.
A progressive win multiplier is introduced in the bonus round, and it starts at x1. The multiplier increases by +1 per tumble win, and it never resets as long as the bonus round lasts. You win +4 extra spins whenever you land 3 scatters in view in the same tumble sequence, and the fishing boat wild transformation modifier can trigger also during the bonus round. Lucky Fishing Megaways is a reskin of another Megaways game, and we have no bones to pick with the excellent visual presentation. You get engaging animations all the way, but we only wish they had taken the time to at least add some kind of original twist to make this release more unique.
The wild transformation feature is still producing double wild reels, and they can certainly be effective when things go your way. The pace of the game is decent as well, and everything is taken to a new level when the progressive multiplier kicks in during the bonus round. This is where you’re most likely to land the big catch, although the 5,000x win cap is hardly enough to make a splash in the Megaways genre.
