There’s been a few delays, but Legion X is finally ready to round off what has been a massively successful year for the developer. Showpiece after showpiece has rolled off the assembly line, and you get a good taste of most of their innovative mechanic achievements in this brutal and hard-boiled Roman warfare effort. Granted, if there are no delays this time, another release might be the last release we’ll see this year.
The carnage on the reels is organized in a 2-3-2-3-2 setup, with both xWays symbols and bonus rounds expending the grid. The xWays and Infectious Wilds can even combine forces in the base game, and you get 1 regular bonus round, 2 enhanced features and a top-tier Gemina bonus where the enhanced elements combine. The symbol values range from 1 to 2.5 x your stake for 5-oak wins across the board, which is not all that impressive on its own. The win story is engaging and full of epicness, and we have no complaints about the 31,000x potential with a 1 in 36M hit rate. That being said, Legion X is neither the best, nor the worst release this year, and the theme is neither the least, nor the most, controversial.
