The scatter win trend continues, and Legend of the Sword is another installment in the genre. The King Arthur and ‘Sword in the Stone’ theme is nicely done, but winning the top prize is probably as hard as pulling the Excalibur from the stone.
The regular symbols, and the pay all-ways system, is mostly for show, as landing anything of significance seems almost impossible with all the stacks of ‘scatter blockers’ that keep raining down per spin. The multiplier that increases per collected scatter in the bonus round can put a bandaid on this to a certain degree, but we don’t recommend this game unless you’re aiming for the scatter prizes.

The gold coin ‘W’ wild steps in for all regular symbols to help you form winning combinations, but the wild holds no value of its own. The premium symbols pay between 4 and 10 times your stake when you land 5 on a payline, but what you really want to see is as many Excalibur Scatters on the reels as possible.
You need at least 5 Excalibur Scatters on the same spin to land an instant cash prize, and this lowest tier on the cash prize ladder awards only 2x your stake. The base game is mostly a sinking ship grind in other words, and top-up scatter wins above 10x are few and far between. The progressive scatter collect multiplier in the bonus round helps to boost those few regular wins you might see, but you’ll most likely need at least 9 scatters to win anything of significance in this game. The 10,000x max prize is certainly better than many similar games though.
