You need between 5 and 15+ matching symbols in a cluster anywhere in view to win, and each spin drops 49 symbols onto the 7x7 grid. Winning combos with 15+ symbols pay between 20 and 150 x your stake, while on the lower end 5 symbols cluster wins pay between 0.2 to 1 x your stake. Winning symbols are removed and replaced by new and or existing symbols dropping down via the Tumble feature, and this repeats for as long as you keep winning.

You get a Random Multiplier Feature in the base game, as winning symbols may come with an x2 win multiplier. The maximum multiplier is still x256 though, but they hit more frequently in the bonus round. You retrigger the bonus round with 10, 11, 12, 13, or 14 free spins, respectively, when you land 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 scatters in the same free spin. Non-UK players, and anyone eligible, can purchase the feature for 100x the stake.

Jewel Rush has great potential. Not because it’s anything too special, but because of the easy-going and enjoyable gameplay. Everything flows smoothly all the way, and not least if you switch on turbo mode or hold down the spacebar to spin. Winning clusters will simply get boosted by multipliers (or not) each time. The good news is, of course, that the multipliers multiply together instead of simply being added together.

This is a simpler and more straightforward way of doing things. The colorful and sparkling jewels filling the grid all the way are enjoyable and mood-lifting to watch, and solid multiplier boosts up to x256 can benefit you in all stages of the game. You get more frequent multiplier boosts in the bonus round, and the 5,000x potential is the same as in its predecessor. The candy theme is not everyone’s favorite after all, and with Jewel Rush players have a solid alternative.
