However, all of these hardly differ from one another gameplay-wise, offering pretty much the same experience but in a different wrapping.
As for the one under review, it takes you to some kind of a North American ravine, showcasing a beautiful desert landscape with hills and canyons drenched in the scorching sunlight. However, you don’t get to see much as most of the view is dominated by a large reel setup, quite an unorthodox one, with 4-5-5-5-5-4 rows and 10,000 winning ways.
That is where 9 pay symbols appear, creating winning combinations from 3-of-a-kind and more from left to right. They start with classic A, K, and Q royals on the lower side, and then are six different American inhabitants. They are in ascending order snakes, eagles, deers, wolves, pumas, and grizzly bears. Animals can appear stacked on the reels. Yet, regular symbols offer quite low payout values, awarding from 0.16x to 0.40x the stake for six-of-a-kind combos, and bigger wins are achievable via the Immortal Array mechanics, explained below.

Immortal Ways Buffalo Slot Features
The grid of the Immortal Ways Buffalo slot is divided into two Immortal Arrays - reels 2 and 3 make up the left array, and reels 4 and 5 make up the right one. Within the arrays, there are special Coin symbols available. There are two different kinds of coins. Regular ones display random cash values from 0.8x to 14x the bet, and Wheel coins, as the name hints, award a random prize determined via the bonus wheel.
When one or more Coins appear, all other coins in the same Immortal Array are locked for the next 3 spins. If another bonus symbol shows up within the three spins, the spin counter is reset back to 3. The coins are locked in position until the Array is filled entirely, which collects all shown values and pays the sum to the player, or when no new coins appear after the 3rd spin.
Landing a Coin Wheel symbol anywhere within the Immortal Array triggers the Prize Wheel at the end of that spin, where one of the four different prizes can be awarded, as follows:

The developer definitely has done a great job designing the Immortal Ways engine, and we always appreciate when slot companies come up with something new, exciting, and unique. It was really thrilling to try the first Immortal Ways slot when it hit the market, but the Buffalo follow-up fails to evoke similar emotions, sticking to the same formula and providing basically the same experience.
The Immortal Ways series comes with the slogan ‘Action Packed Spins’, and there’s a lot happening indeed, but it would be better if it evolved. For now, however, this is not the case, as there are already four games released or about to be that utilize completely the same gameplay with nothing new to offer except for the skin. To conclude, Immortal Ways Buffalo is fun, but there’s no point in giving it a spin if you’ve already tried the previous title. Well, except if you are really crazy about buffaloes.
