Casinos with Hunter X in your country

Game Review
Grab your shotgun and get ready to wing it in this arcade-style duck hunting game. The game plays out in a picturesque countryside setting, with the hunter and his dog hiding in the tall grass. He’s certainly found a sweet spot, cause there is a never-ending stream of ducks, pheasants, and blackbirds flying by at all times.
You start by choosing your bet level between €0.01 and €100 per shot, catering to both penny punters and high rollers. You can aim and shoot manually by clicking on birds as they fly by, or you can click the ‘play’ button to let the hunter do the choosing for you. The outcome is the same either way, as each bird will either award 2x your stake or nothing at all. That’s the base game in a nutshell for you, as there are no bonus features to speak of.
You can hold down the ‘play’ button, though, which activates turbo mode for faster hunting. This is a useful feature since it shortens the time between bonus game triggers. Each winning bird fills the bonus game meter by 0.5 %, and a full meter requires 200 successful shots. This is how the bonus game triggers, awarding 5 shots to reveal golden egg prizes of up to 1,000x per egg.
The volatility of this game is not disclosed, but it’s safe to say that you will hardly win anything significant in the base game. It will be a slow draining of your bankroll until you hit the bonus game, which may top you up or potentially award up to 5,000x your stake, the game’s max win. The RTP is 96.08 %, which is a tad above average if you compare it to regular slot games.
Features
The base game consistently awards 2x your stake for each successful shot, but you can win a lot more hunting golden eggs in the bonus game. Let’s take a closer look!
Bonus Game
The Bonus Game triggers when the Bonus Meter on the right-hand side is complete. Each successful shot increases the meter by 0.5 %, and you need 200 successful shots to fill the meter. You then get 60 seconds to shoot 5 of 12 golden eggs, each revealing a prize between 5x and 1,000x your stake. The remaining eggs are revealed automatically if you don’t shoot 5 within 60 seconds. You win the combined prize when the bonus round ends and the meter resets.
Bonus Chance Game (not UK)
When the Bonus Meter is at least 1 % full, you will see the bonus egg at the top of the meter turn golden. You can then click on this egg to open the Bonus Chance Game. Your chance of winning equals your bonus meter percentage, shown by the size of the green section of the green and red circle. Hit the ‘Chance’ button to see where the arrow lands, and landing on green awards the bonus round. If it lands on red, however, your bonus meter progress resets.
Bonus Buy (not UK)
Eligible players can purchase the bonus round for 84x the stake. Simply hit the golden egg button on the left-hand side to open the bonus buy menu. Then, click the ‘buy bonus’ button to get started right away with your 5 shots.
Theme & Graphics
This game takes you to the countryside for a good old-fashioned duck hunt, although there are other birds flying across the screen as well. In fact, there is an abundance of feathered targets to hunt as if you’ve stumbled upon some kind of bird highway, and it’s all accompanied by a lighthearted soundtrack. With an idyllic backdrop of puffy white clouds hanging over some tranquil ponds, the hunter takes aim with his shotgun with his loyal hunting dog by his side.

Our Verdict
As someone who is old enough to have played Nintendo’s Duck Hunt back in the day, this game certainly evoked nostalgic memories. While the steady stream of birds may seem a bit unrealistic, that’s just how it has to be in a game like this. Of course, hunting is a somewhat controversial subject, like so many things these days, so this game may not win over animal rights activists or sensitive players who care for animals.
That’s hardly the point of this game, of course, and I enjoyed this little hunting session myself. It’s refreshing to know exactly what to expect, which is seldom the case with regular slot games. In this game, you either kill the bird and win 2x your stake or you miss and lose the bet. It doesn’t get any simpler than that. In addition, you know exactly when the next bonus round will trigger, as you can track the progress in the meter.
It’s important to choose a bet level that’s sustainable up front, as changing it later means you lose your bonus meter progress. Holding down the ‘play’ button triggers turbo mode gameplay, making the hunter go into overdrive and shoot down birds like there is no tomorrow. The biggest issue I have with this game is that it gets a bit too monotone and boring after a while.
The same birds fly by against the same backdrop, so changing this up a bit would potentially have kept the engagement higher over time. The bonus round does give you a break from the main game grind, though, and it’s quite exciting to see which bet multipliers each golden egg reveals. The base game could’ve been spiced up with some bonus bird prizes, perhaps, but overall, this is a decent installment in the series.
