This is a look at an older game called Horror Joker. It was released in 2019, and it takes place on a 4x3 playing field with only 7 paylines.

The title might sound quite interesting, but the truth is that what we have here is a fruit slot with slightly spooky symbol designs. The production values are below average, though, so things sound much better in theory than they look in practice.

As for the game’s math model, it has a medium-high volatility level, and its top winning combination is worth 150x your stake. The least that you can play for is then £0.10 per spin, while high rollers can risk as much as £50 if they want to. The theoretical RTP is then 95%, which is one percent below the current industry average.

Slot Features

The paytable features a total of 8 pay symbols, and it’s worth stressing that you have to line up 4 matching symbols on a payline to get a win. As for the actual symbols, it’s possible to divide them into 5 low pays and 3 high pays. For the former, there are cherries, lemons, oranges, plums and melons, with these symbols paying up to 2x your bet for a combination. For high pays, there are grapes, pumpkins and ghosts. Ghosts are worth the most, and you’ll actually get as much as 50x your bet for a set!

For specials, there are just Wilds, which can substitute for any of the pay symbols and which pay 150x your bet in a set. That’s not the important thing, however. The most important thing is that you’ll get 81 paylines to work with instead of just 7 whenever you find a Wild on the board!

There are no real bonus features, but you can try to increase your payouts with the Gamble feature. It’s all about trying to guess the color of the upcoming card. If you guess right, you’ll double your potential payout. If you guess wrong, on the other hand, you’ll have to start from scratch.

To sum things up, this isn’t a particularly good game. It’s certainly interesting that you can land Wilds to get access to more paylines, but, since that’s the only gameplay bit in the entire game, things get boring incredibly quickly. Feel free to ignore this release!
