The game includes random modifiers and two bonus games.

During the base game, one of 4 random modifiers can trigger. Three diamonds appear on the screen to determine the modifier:

• Colossal Dynamite Wilds - a large Wild symbol lands, turning up to 9 positions into Wild.
• Explosive Dynamite Wilds - any Wild landing turns adjacent symbols into Wild.
• Diamonds Forever - adds 6 Scatters to the reels to trigger the Hold and Win bonus game.

The Diamonds Forever feature can also be triggered by landing 6 or more Scatters anywhere in view during the base game. Triggering this feature locks the Scatter symbols and awards 3 Repins. During the bonus round, bonus symbols land with random cash values attached to them, and each new Scatter landing becomes sticky and resets the number of Respins back to 3. The feature continues until you run out of Respins or the grid is full. Then, all money values are added and paid to the player.

Using Bonus Symbols will trigger another bonus game, Diamond Trail. There is a meter on the left, and when a Bonus Symbol lands during the base game, it is collected to fill the feature trail. Once you collect 100 pieces, the Diamond Spins feature activates, similar to the above. You get 3 Respins, and only bonus symbols can land, but resetting spins is not possible. Bonus symbols pay instantly after landing but are not sticky.

Hope Diamond offers entertainment, but might not overwhelm. While the theme and design are subjective, the features are a point of concern. Modifiers are welcome, but the bonus features don't impress. The first bonus game is a Hold and Win feature, and the second is similar. A Free Spins feature with modifiers would have been better.

The numbers are good: a decent RTP and potential of 50,000x the stake. However, the features aren't as exciting as the Wild modifiers, which enliven the base game.
