Game Review
Some developers are carving out a niche with their releases. With this game, they’re taking a shot at the music niche, which is surprisingly underrepresented on the current online slot gaming scene. And yet, there certainly does seem to be enough appetite for such games, so let’s take a closer look at what this one brings to the table. Kicking off, we can tell you that it takes place on a playing board with 6 reels and 5 rows, and the game uses Clusters instead of traditional paylines.
This game certainly comes with a strong visual identity, which is clearly inspired by Japanese pop. That’s rather novel, and we are sure that the slot will find a lot of fans based on that alone. It’s a visual style that won’t suit everyone, true, and things do get rather messy at times, but it’s definitely fair to call the production values high overall.
The math model of this game has a medium volatility level, but there’s no official info available about the game’s jackpot. We can tell you, though, that you can play the slot for stakes between £0.20 and £250 per spin, which should please essentially everyone. On top of that, we’re happy to report that the entire package comes with a sweet theoretical RTP of 96.77%, which is several notches above the 96% industry average.
Game Features
There are 7 pay symbols in this game, and they are split into 3 high pays and 4 low pays. For low pays, there are two types of notes, yen, and dollars. Even these symbols can pay up to 200x your bet when found in a Cluster of 30 matching symbols, though that’s obviously incredibly rare. For high pays, there are three elemental symbols with the letters R, K, and H. H symbols with flames are worth the most, and you’ll get an incredible 750x payout for a Cluster of 30.
For specials, there are Wilds that can substitute for any of the game’s symbols to complete Clusters.
The gameplay loop of this game is based around the Combo feature that works essentially like Cascading Wins with an increasing win multiplier. All winning combinations are automatically removed from the board and replaced with a new set of symbols, which can lead to new combos and new symbol removals. As you grow your Combo, you also increase your global win multiplier.
Fill the Combo meter with enough winning combinations to trigger the Free Spins feature. You can get to the Bonus Stage with 3 free spins or the Hyper Bonus Stage with 5 free spins, with both options coming without Combo resets between spins. If you get lucky, you will find your way to the Extra Stage with 1 free spin without low symbols.
Aside from all that, there’s the feature that can net you various modifiers via high-paying Clusters. These modifiers have several levels, too, so things are rather complex. You can get symbol transformations that replace low-paying symbols with high-paying ones, symbol removals that bring more high-paying symbols and Wilds into play, Wild transformations, and even Mega Wilds!
Review Summary
To sum things up, this is an excellent slot that shows what the company is capable of. It comes with superb audiovisuals, great gameplay features, and a juicy math model that’s suitable for pretty much everyone. If you’re at least slightly into music-themed slots, you simply must give this one a shot!
