What are the bonus features?

The game mainly focuses on the bonus round, but you also benefit from the hammer in the base game. When you land one or more hammer wilds, the god will use his tool and turn all symbols below the hammer wild into regular wild symbols. We were eager to see how our 200 spins would play out, and decided to go with a moderate bet level of €1 per spin this time. As we expected, there was a load of dead spins and minor wins initially, and most of these are not included in the video highlights. Not much happened for a good while, but then a sudden big win seemingly turned our luck.

We landed a bunch of gold head symbols on reels 1 to 4, and won 27x from it. Not long after we landed 3 volcano scatters, and this triggered the free spins bonus round with 10 spins to go. The hammer came down hard on the very first spin, and turned 1 symbol wild for a smaller win. More importantly however, it increased the multiplier to 2x, and things were definitely heating up inside Mt Etna.

Unfortunately, our initial luck was followed by mostly dead spins and a few insignificant wins, but we also got 1 extra spin to help us out. Our final spins were uneventful, but the Strike Again feature gave us a 12x win thanks to the 5x multiplier we had racked up. In total, we won 44.6x our stake from the bonus round, but we will definitely be back to give it another shot. You cannot expect anything else from a highly volatile game like this, as the bonus round will either make or break your session.

Review Summary

This game is about as hardcore as a video slot can get without being x-rated. Visually, the game is close to perfection, and it’s hard to imagine a better depiction of the divine forge than what the developer has created. The brutal volatility is matched by a record-breaking max win potential, which alone makes this game stand out from anything else they have produced.

The base game might not offer all that much except the occasional hammer strike wild stacks, but impatient players can take advantage of the relatively reasonably priced bonus buy option (not UK players though), which is another thing that makes this a unique title. The bonus round will either crush you or erupt into epic multiplier wins.
