Goddess of Egypt is a slot built on the Win Ways™ engine, designed to compete with similar systems. However, it doesn’t bring anything new to the slots world and instead follows the well-known formula, providing over a hundred thousand ways to play, cascades, free spins, and growing multipliers.

Design-wise, the Goddess of Egypt slot is far from novel either, as true to its name, it utilizes a cliched Egyptian theme, making use of traditional environment and symbols. The backdrop here showcases the insides of a tomb, where we see numerous carved paintings, and in the center is sitting a massive reel setup, made up of familiar icons. Well, there’s not really a ton else to say about the exterior of Goddess of Egypt - it’s entirely unoriginal and formulaic, albeit not too bad either since the visuals are at least sharp and detailed.

Mathematically-wise, it’s not all rosy as well. While the variance isn’t that brutal at a medium level, the RTP is pretty disappointing, being far below average at 95.12%, so don’t expect to win very often. As for wins, the maximum amount you can get is officially unknown, unfortunately. Finally, bet levels vary from €0.2 at the lowest to €10 at the highest.

Now to the Win Ways™ mechanic. Like similar systems, it plays out across a 6-reel setup, where each reel is dynamic, providing from 2 to 7 symbols on each spin. Plus, there’s an extra upper reel above the four main middle reels that spin horizontally. The minimum number of win lines is 364, while at max capacity the reels produce 117,649 ways. Truly a bonafide copy.

10 different regular symbols are available on the reels, including classic A-9 card ranks and four Egyptian symbols, namely scarabs, Horus eyes, statues, and the goddess herself, who appears to be Cleopatra. Three or more of the same symbols landing adjacently starting from the leftmost reel create a winning combo, except for Cleopatra, who needs only two. She is the most valuable symbol, paying 50x the bet for six-of-a-kind, while combinations of other symbols are worth from 1x to 7.5x the bet. Wild symbols are also included, which act as substitutes for any of the regulars. However, those are available only on the upper reel.

Each win you score triggers the branded Reel Refill feature, or a cascade. Once a win is achieved, the winning symbols get removed from the reels, while new ones tumble down to fill the gaps, allowing you to get a chain reaction of wins on each spin. The process continues until no more winning cosmos appear.

Central to the gameplay of the Goddess of Egypt slot is the Free Spins feature, triggered when at least 3 Scatter symbols appear simultaneously anywhere in view, which awards 8 spins to start with. It’s possible to obtain more spins by landing another combination of Scatters or a +4 Pyramid symbol during the bonus, though, keep in mind they are available only on the upper reel.

The bonus game operates in a similar way to the base one, but there’s one major difference. Each cascade increases the total win multiplier by +1, which is applied to all combinations you hit in the free games, and there’s no limit on how big the multiplier can grow.

All said and done, the Goddess of Egypt slot is pretty much controversial. Everything from the key mechanic to in-game features is a complete rip-off of similar games, so there’s really nothing to get super excited about. The developers took quite a lazy approach with both the design and gameplay, and therefore their creation falls into the endless void of mediocre copycats, with nothing new for the players to offer.
