Time travel is a fascinating concept that has been explored in countless works of fiction. Play’n Go explores the concept in Fortune Rewind. The intro tells the story of how the father of Dr Tempis disappeared through the time machine portal, and you’ll join the redhead heroine in her time traveling search for her long lost father.

The problem is that the time machine doesn’t quite work in a predictable way, so she never knows which era she’ll find herself in next. There are 6 wildly different eras to visit in Fortune Rewind, and you’ll see both dinosaurs and futuristic cities. The 2 base game modifiers take you back and forward in time, and you travel through all 6 eras in the bonus round (with a win multiplier that boosts each era’s chosen symbol).

Fortune Rewind Slot Features

The premium symbols pay between 8 and 23 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, and the Power Cell Wild steps in for all pay symbols to help complete wins. The wild can appear on any reel, and pure wild wins pay 5.2x, 25x or 500x your stake for 3, 4 or 5 of a kind, respectively.

We like how storytelling into the game, providing cinematographic intros to frame the gameplay in an engaging context. The girl looking for her lost father by traveling in time is an idea worthy of a movie. Each era comes with a well-crafted theme, complete with its own soundtrack, and each time warp keeps you guessing.

The time traveling concept is nicely intertwined with the 2 features, although it seemed hard to land significant wins from either of the modifiers. This changes drastically in the bonus round though, as the win multiplier takes things to the next level. You still need to win with the chosen symbol for each era to make a dent, and the single spin max win for each era varies from 3,200x to the 8,500x win cap (with the x20 multiplier). Overall, a solid and original release.
