The Kingfisher symbol acts as a Scatter symbol and can appear on any reel. In the base game only, landing a Golden Fish symbol alongside any Kingfisher triggers an instant payout of 2,500x your bet, which is the game's maximum win.
Additionally, whenever a kingfisher lands, it pecks an egg above its reel and has a chance to crack it open to award a bonus feature. In other words, each Scatter symbol is collected into a pot directly above, and when this occurs, a bonus might initiate at random.
Kingfisher Bonus Feature
As alluded to above, above each reel sits a colored egg, and landing a kingfisher below one can potentially trigger the bonus. Only one egg can be cracked at a time, and each one offers a different combo of enhancements.

Our Verdict
Real kingfishers have exceptional beaks, which are so aerodynamic that Japanese engineers studied them to design bullet trains. Thanks to that natural design, kingfishers dive into water almost silently and with minimal splash, making them expert fish catchers.
Sadly, the blue feathered friend in Fortune Kingfisher doesn’t quite live up to that level of efficiency. It takes him quite a few attempts to crack open those eggs. Good thing all of them don't reset after the feature is triggered, only the involved one, while the two other eggs keep their cracking progress.
In all honesty, this one feels like a simplified, stripped-down version of the earlier Kingfisher games, with reduced reel area and winning potential, cut in half basically. So in many ways, it’s a step back rather than forward. That said, it’s clearly made for a specific kind of player – someone who enjoys the 3-reel format and likes Chinese-themed slots. If you match that description, then Fortune Kingfisher might be a perfect choice.
