Fortune Gods Review
Audiovisually, Fortune Gods is certainly what can best be described as an acquired taste. At least for those who are largely unfamiliar with the cultural references. This game is clearly aimed at the asian market however, as the Caishen “god of financial luck and fortune” is a pretty big deal over there.
We have to admit that we turned off the audio after our 200 spins highlights video was recorded. The screaming and drumming babies became a bit too much, and we don’t really need massive celebrations rubbed in our faces for every little thing that happens. This is probably what they like in asia though, but we don’t see this game going anywhere with most players.
Fortune Gods slot Features
The features are really simple in this game, and it’s all about the Fortune Gods Respins. Landing at least 1 Lucky Caishen symbol, or a Success Caishen symbol, anywhere will trigger the Fortune Gods feature. The Caishen symbols look like dressed up asian emperors, and they can land on reels 2, 3 and 4 only.
All instances of the triggering Caishen symbols will turn symbols around them into wilds, and these will then remain frozen in place for a free respin. If you land any new Caishen symbols on the respin, you will retrigger the feature. The gold nugget wild the Caishen’s transform into does not hold any value of their own. However, the wilds will step in for all regular symbols to help you form winning combos.
The 200 Spins Fortune Gods slot Experience
There is no doubt that the wild transformation feature can be effective at times, and we certainly got a taste of that in our 200 spins test session. You can check out all the highlights in the brief video below, which will also give you a pretty good overview of what this game is about.
Review Summary
Fortune Gods slot is about as asian as a game can get. From the drumming babies cheering wildly at everything that happens, to the headbanging Caishen laying on top of the reels during the Fortune Gods feature. This is a pretty far out experience for most. It gives the game an exotic vibe perhaps, but it will probably appeal more to people who understand all the cultural references.
As for the math model, the volatility is pretty high in this game. Combine that with a lower-than-average RTP of 95.04 %, and you’re in for a risky ride that might take a toll on your bankroll. You can win up to 3,600x your stake here, which is not all that impressive all things considered. However, if you’re looking for a unique and different slot experience, Fortune Gods might be worth a closer look.
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Caishen sticky wild respins | RTP of 95.04 % is a bit below average |
| High volatility and 3,600x max win potential | |
| Exotic asian theme that holds nothing back |
