It’s a bit of mystery to us how the original game managed to become such a hit that it spawned a whole series. There is even a Slingo version, and now, finally, the Megaways version has been released. The game stays true to both the original game, and to the standard megaways blueprint, but fans might be disappointed by the lack of a proper Toy Grabber Bonus Game.
The toy claw machine was the highlight of the original game, and several of the follow up titles, including the Slingo version. You do get a toy grabber symbol in the top carousel reel, and it will bring up the occasional multiplier wild, but it’s hardly a replacement. On the upside, you get a progressive multiplier both in the base game and during the bonus round here, balancing things out to make it less of a grind. The 20,000x potential is rock solid, not least since the volatility has been cushioned down to a comfortable medium.

The Cascading feature becomes active whenever you land a winning combo, and you’ll see the winning symbols removed from the reels. A fresh batch of symbols will then drop from above to fill the gaps, and the process repeats as long as you keep landing new winning combos.
There is also a progressive win multiplier in play during the base game, and it increases by +1 per consecutive cascade. You can follow the progress on the multiplier meter on the left-hand side, and the meter resets to 1x again when the cascading sequence comes to an end.
The toy grabber symbol can appear in the top horizontal carousel reel only, and it triggers the Claw feature. The claw drops down to pull up a wild multiplier worth 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x or 5x. If several claw wilds are part of the same winning combo, the respective multiplier values will be multiplied with each other.
The Bonus Round is triggered when you land at least 3 Pink Elephant scatters anywhere in sight. You get 9 free spins when you land 3 scatters, and 3 extra spins on top of that for each scatter above the minimum required. The progressive win multiplier does not reset between free spins, and you get +2 extra spins for every pink elephant scatter you land.

One can only wonder why a saccharine thing like the original Fluffy Favorites has remained such a popular game for many years now. Is it the fairground nostalgia of the Toy Picker Game, or do far more people than we thought possible simply enjoy a childish indulgence like this? We have to admit that we are at loss, and we also don’t understand how a Megaways version would dare to release with no Toy Grabber bonus game.
Visually, this beefed-up version has been massively improved, and the cutesy factor is still running strong. As far as features go, nothing revolutionary is on display here. It follows the Megaways blueprint more or less, with progressive and wild multipliers being the name of the game. The 20,000x potential is solid, but somewhat limited by the £10 max bet, and the medium volatility is also a bit surprising.
