The sky has long been no limit, neither physical nor psychological, for mankind, but it continues to amaze and make us look up to it in moments of weakness and strength. Alas, the new game that came under our spotlight is not so prosaic, but it contains an innovation that could be the basis for a new iGaming category!

Flight Legends was released on 22nd July. Somehow it managed to stay in the periphery due to the large number of slots and table games released by pretty much all certified studios at the summer end.

Flight Legends is neither an online slot nor a Crash arcade, although it comes with modified Burst mechanics. The design is a bit of a mish-mash, as a signal-red airplane from Aviation's Golden Era sits on a modern aircraft carrier.

Well, here the airplane looks like the one in another arcade game. Both share the Aviation theme, but this game is a bit different. Players can't stop the flight and collect the accumulated win multiplier but have to wait for the course and hope for the best.

Graphics are nice, and animation quality is high, but no striking animations and audio effects.

You'll clearly hear the airplane's propeller and the sounds when a multiplier is collected, or a rocket is hit. Yes, there are rockets in the sky, and sadly, you have absolutely zero control over them. All screens and control tools are on the bottom side of the screen, and it all seems pretty standard to me.

Flight Legends is an HTML5 arcade, meaning that it is compatible with all screens, small or large, and operating systems, Windows, Android, or iOS. The mobile view is a bit more plain, but nothing too different. The GO! button is where you start the action, and the Red Airplane will take off.

Before that, you should have set up your bet, and the options are more than enough. Flight Legends caters to players with any size of bankroll, from €0.10 up to a massive €1,000 per flight. Naturally, some online casinos may limit the max stake, so keep that in mind.

In any case, you should be capable of building a decent betting strategy based on the most popular betting systems, like Martingale. Technically, there isn't much to be said, as the volatility is adjusted. In other words, you can't influence it. Flight Legends lacks bonus features and relies on its unique mechanics to tempt players. Once the aircraft takes off, you will see various additive and multiplicative values in the sky - 1, 2, 5, 10, x2, x4, etc. However, you will soon notice enemy rockets as well, and it's unnecessary to say that they don't bring good.

The airplane will fly on a random trajectory and will avoid or collect both the multipliers and the rockets. Each rocket will decrease the collected sum and will change the aircraft's direction downwards. Multipliers will do the opposite and will potentially prolong the current flight.

Collecting multipliers and rockets is just half of the exercise! Once the course is over, the airplane will go down to either successfully land on a carrier, drop from it in the water, or directly crash in the ocean. If you survive, the value will multiply your bet, and you will win the amount, while otherwise, you lose.

Flight Legends is packed with 4 levels of gameplay speed - a tortoise, a human, a rabbit, and a lightning bolt. You can switch between them before and during the flight. Besides the pace, players can use an Autoplay, too, and automate their experience. Several advanced options are in the tool, including stopping on any win or if the balance increases by a certain amount.

Our Verdict

Flight Legends definitely has its charisma, although that is not a real-time multiplayer arcade game. It lacks history and stats, which are elements in focus in most games following the Crash style. The reason is obvious: the arcade does not utilize the classic Burst mechanics, but a much simpler engine.

Perhaps a PRNG (pseudo-random number generator) determines the outcome at the beginning of every round. But some games allow Provably Fair checks, and players can confirm whether the result was truly random, something the RNG games don't allow.

Flight Legends comes with an excellent RTP rate of 97%, equal to similar crash games. However, the max win of 250x the bet is rather low. Some games pay up to 5,000x, other - up to 10,000x, while others are virtually unlimited by this indicator!

Moreover, some of these online arcades are packed with bonus features besides the live stats and chat rooms. For example, some games have tournaments and promotions. From that point of view, Flight Legends is not particularly attractive, but it is quite dynamic.

Exactly the pace and unique gameplay is why the game fell under the spotlight! I certainly do not underestimate the title, and I highly suggest trying it on any fan of non-ordinary play.
