Flaming Hot Extreme Bell Link Review
This slot is known for its Bell Link range, and this Hold & Win-style jackpot feature is the main attraction in this slot. You can look forward to the same classic-style presentation as in the original, and the 5x4 grid is filled with charming fruit machine symbols you’ve probably seen many times before.
You can play with bet levels between €0.5 to €50 per spin, distributed across 4 bet options. You win by landing matching symbols across up to 40 paylines, starting from the leftmost reel towards the right. The top-tier lucky number 7 symbol pays also for 2 of a kind, and it’s followed by a golden BAR symbol, bananas, watermelons, grapes, apples, peaches, and cherries. These symbols pay between 2x and 10x your stake for 5 of a kind wins.
In addition, you can land jackpot symbols to win both fixed and progressive jackpots, and this happens in all stages of the game. The jackpots are on display above the grid, with the 2 top jackpots growing continuously as you spin the reels. What makes this stand out from the original game is the added free spins feature. It’s a regular bonus round that plays out similarly to the base game, and it can be retriggered.
The Bell Link Jackpot Feature is similar to what you may remember from the original game or plenty of other installments in the Bell Link series. It’s all about racking up bell prizes and jackpot bell symbols in a hold and win-style feature, with a multiplier being awarded to boost all prizes (bar the progressive jackpots) if you manage to fill the screen with 15 to 20 bells. Boasting medium to high volatility and an above-average RTP of 96.5 %, Flaming Hot Extreme Bell Link offers the classic slot machine experience with modern features.
Flaming Hot Extreme Bell Link Features
In addition to the regular Bell Link Jackpot Feature, you can also look forward to a free spins bonus round in this slot. Respins may help you trigger this feature, so let’s take a closer look at how it all works!
Respins Feature
The Respins Feature triggers when you land at least two dollar sign scatters in view in the base game. This feature may help you trigger the Free Spins Bonus Round by holding all present scatters in place as the remaining reels respin.
If the reels that respin land at least one new scatter, the reel or reels with a scatter are held in place as the remaining reels respin again. This process repeats until you don’t land a scatter on the respin or until 5 scatters are present on the grid.
Free Spins Bonus Round
The Free Spins Bonus Round triggers when you land 3, 4, or 5 dollar sign scatters in view, awarding 10, 20, or 30 free spins, respectively. You can retrigger the feature the same way, and the extra spins you win are added to your current tally.
If you trigger the Bell Link Jackpot Feature on the same triggering spin, this feature plays out before the free spins bonus. You cannot trigger the Bell Link Jackpot Feature during the free spins bonus, but other than that, it plays out like the base game.
Bell Link Jackpots
There are 4 jackpots up for grabs in this game, known as the Bell Link Jackpots. The Mini and Minor jackpots are fixed while the Major and Grand jackpots are progressive. Landing 3 red bells on the same base game spin awards the Grand Jackpot, while you need only one green, blue, or purple bell in view to win the Major, Minor, or Mini jackpot.
The Mini and Minor jackpots pay 20x and 100x your stake, respectively. You can also land golden bells that award 1x to 100x your stake per symbol, but this symbol only pays during the Bell Link Feature.
Bell Link Bonus Feature
When you land at least 5 bell symbols of any kind on the same base game spin, the Bell Link Feature triggers with the triggering bells sticky. It’s a Hold & Win-style bonus round where you get 3 free spins and the tally resets for each new bell symbol you land.
If you fill all 20 positions with bell symbols of any kind, all prizes bar the Major and Grand jackpots are boosted by an x3 multiplier. If you trigger the feature with the Bell Boost symbol, the multiplier increases to x4. If you fill only 15 to 19 positions, the multiplier decreases to x2.
Dobule Or Nothing Gamble Feature
Any win less than or equal to 35x your stake can be gambled in a double or nothing card color guessing game. Choose between red or black, and double your winnings if the revealed card color matches. However, keep in mind that betting on the wrong color means your winnings are lost. You cannot enter the gamble feature if you win either of the progressive jackpots.
Theme & Graphics
Flaming Hot Extreme Bell Link is about as close as you get to a classic fruit machine experience online, down to the retro reel stop sound and the lack of a soundtrack. Features are announced by a female voiceover, adding a bit of personality, and the reels are filled with classic symbols like fruits, BARs, 7s, and bells. This is the kind of theme that some players will find boring, while others enjoy the nostalgic vibe and simple gameplay.

Our Verdict
To start on a positive note, Flaming Hot Extreme Bell Link is a tad more worthwhile than the original, but that’s not really saying too much. If you’re looking for the nostalgic experience of a classic fruit machine, you may enjoy what’s on offer here. However, many players will find this game to be a tedious grind with no real excitement or energy going for it, including myself.
First of all, the somewhat complicated betting system is a bit of a turnoff, but at least it’s possible to play with rounded numbers like €1 per spin. Choosing between 4 betting options seems unnecessary and clunky when most games offer a seamless choice of the whole betting range. I do like that you can choose from 3 spin speed settings, however, and the pace is decent when you max out the turbo.
The most significant upgrade from the original is the added free spins round. However, I’m not sure it makes this game as “extreme” as the title suggests. Sure, it’s always nice to be able to spin the reels at no cost and you can get a solid number of free spins, not least if you retrigger the feature. It still feels like the largest payouts are bound to come from the Bell Link Feature, though, since this is the main attraction in both installments.
Racking up bells and jackpot bells can be somewhat thrilling, not least to see if you manage to win one of the prize multipliers before the feature ends. Jackpot bells are rarely seen, however, and that goes for both the base game and the Bell Link Bonus. With a game like Flaming Hot Extreme Bell Link, it boils down to personal preference. You either love the archaic presentation or you don’t. Either way, they should consider being more transparent when it comes to the max win of their games.
