Fishing Cash Pots Review
There are numerous fishing slot copycats, but we doubt Fishing Cash Pots will reach the top. The visuals are dated, and the production feels uninspired. It comes across as a cheap attempt at cashing in on a popular trend, without much effort.
Inspired have made a twist to the reel ‘em bonus round, as you’ll benefit from sticky cash fish. How beneficial that is, is another question. It’s good if the cash fish are of high value, but not so good if they’re not. Besides, you risk winning nothing if the Fisherman doesn’t land, and the idyllic vibe from the original is not present in this copycat effort.
Fishing Cash Pots Features
This game is all about the Fisherman Bonus feature. It triggers when you land at least 6 fish symbols anywhere on reel 1 to 4, while also landing the Fisherman symbol on reel 5. The fish turn golden during the feature, and all the triggering fish symbols become sticky on the reels.
The fish cash prizes vary between 2x and 25x your stake, and they are typically a bit more lucrative in the bonus round, as indicated by the golden color. The reel positions with no fish symbols spin again 5 times, and you’ll collect all the fish prizes in sight whenever you land the Fisherman on reel 5.
The 200 Spins Fishing Cash Pots Experience
Nothing exciting happened until we triggered the Fisherman bonus round. The highlights video is only a little above 2 minutes long this time, and we got a somewhat decent collection of fish prizes towards the end.
Review Summary
If you’re going to make a fishing slot copycat, like Inspired has done with Fishing Cash Pots, it’s probably a good idea to make it the better alternative. This is not really the case here, and the only twist is that the cash fish prizes are sticky during the bonus round. It thus comes across as more of a Hold & Win feature, although you’re dependent on landing the Fisherman to win anything at all.
The potential is not disclosed, but a full screen of the game logo symbol pays 2,000x your stake. The cash fish are effective blockers of regular wins in the base game however, and a full screen of the 25x fish in the bonus round would award no more than 300x your stake. The 95 % RTP is also below par, and we don’t see any reason to join this fishing expedition, not when there are plenty of better alternatives out there.
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Win up to 2,000x in the base game | Uninspired fishing rip-off |
| Cash fish round with sticky prizes and 5 spins | RTP of 95 % is well below average |
| Spin Chance feature |

Fishin' Frenzy Megaways - injects the original game with a healthy dose of steroids, but it’s still all about the reel ‘em fish prize collection bonus round. You can win up to 10,000x your stake in this version however, and the volatility is high.
