The original Dynamite Riches has been a success, so it’s no wonder they’ve stuck with the same blueprint in the dynamic reels follow-up. Dynamite Riches Megaways is bigger and bolder for sure, but not really as big and bold as it could have been. The math model feels a bit constricted, although a 7,000x potential is certainly higher than in the first game.
You still need to commit to around 200 spins (at least that was our experience) to unlock all 4 modifiers, but they stay unlocked and can trigger at random times after that. The Gold Spins bonus round now comes with a progressive multiplier, although it’s not the usual “unlimited multiplier” that most Megaways releases come with. It’s restricted to x20, but it’s better than no multiplier at all, which is what the original game offers.
Dynamite Riches Megaways Features
The regular wild is a stick of dynamite, and it steps in for all regular pay symbols to help you complete winning combinations. Premium symbols pay between 1.2 and 2 x your stake for 6 of a kind, and there are 2 more wilds that are tied into the features we’ll talk about below.
All dynamite wilds that land are collected in the Feature Unlock Progress Bar above the reels. This unlocks 4 features as indicated by the 4 sections of the progress bar, and you need to collect 15 dynamite wilds to fill one section. You then get the unlocked feature on the following spin, and it can trigger at random times from that point forward. Here are the 4 modifiers you will unlock in chronological order:
- TNT feature (15 collected wilds) - removes all low value symbols from the grid, but these symbols return if the spin triggers the bonus round.
- Golden Wilds feature (30 collected wilds) - awards up to 10 golden wilds on the 4 middle reels.
- Multiplier feature (45 collected wilds) - a compass spins to reveal a multiplier of x2, x3, x5 or x10, and it’s held in escrow until your next win. If the feature triggers again before that, it can increase up to x20 at the most. The multiplier is carried over into the bonus round.
- Mega Wild feature (60 wilds collected) - awards up to 4 mega wilds on the 4 middle reels, and these cover the entire reel where they land. They also come with a random multiplier of x2 to x7.
You need to land 3 to 6 Gold Spins scatters anywhere in sight to trigger the Bonus Round, and this awards 8, 10, 12 or 14 free spins, respectively. The global win multiplier increases per win, up to x20 at the most. You get +4 extra spins when you land 3 scatters on a free spin, and +1 extra spin on top of that per scatter above the minimum of 3. The multiplier resets when you return to the base game.

Review Summary
The developers have stayed close to the original recipe, which some will like while others may expect a bit more. The dynamic reels experience with up to 117,649 win ways adds to the excitement though, and you now get a progressive multiplier in the bonus round. The mega wilds are now full reel wilds instead of 2x2 and 3x3, but they come with multipliers up to x7 to compensate for the smaller size.
Having to commit to a game to unlock the features and see its full potential is not for everyone. It took us almost 200 spins to unlock all 4 modifiers, and it’s a lot more fun when these things trigger on a regular basis. Why the developers insists on quirky math models we do not know. The 7,000x potential is decent though, but still a bit below what we’ve learned to expect from a Megaways release.
