Divine Battle Review
Divine Battle slot is a mystical game adventure released in July. Two mighty powers collide in a battle of good and evil, and only the bravest players will await the outcome of this clash. The game developer has added popular mechanics and bonus features, including Multiplier symbols!
The company is known for its innovative and player-centric approach to classic and modern themes. The brand came into life in 2018 but already has over 220 casino games in its repertoire, mostly online slots. However, it has been almost a year after the release of the provider's last title with a Fantasy theme.
Moreover, Luck & Magic can hardly be compared with the Divine Battle slot in terms of mechanical complexity and payout potential. The developer has finally decided to offer players take a side in eternal conflict. The Horned Demon wielding fire magic stands on the left, while the Powerful Celestial is on the right, holding its divine sword.
The crystal-clear graphics and top-notch animations complement the overall vibe of epicness, just like the soundtrack. This fantasy adventure is quite appealing to the eye and ear and can be extremely fast-paced if Turbo Mode is on. Other tech features are also at hand, like Autoplay, Chance x2, and Bonus Buy.
The huge, rock-framed grid stands in the idle between the two creatures, consisting of 6 reels and 5 rows. The selected payout system is Pay Anywhere, which awards prizes for 8 or more of any symbol on sight. Divine Battle is based on HTML5 and JS and is fully compatible with desktop and mobile devices (Windows, Android, iOS).
The scatter-pay engine is enhanced with Refilling Reels, which is an Avalanche mechanic. Symbols involved in winning combinations disappear, causing cascades, and new ones come from above to fill out the reels. The payout sequence will continue until no new combos are at hand.
Sadly, as many other Pay Anywhere slots, Divine Battle is missing substituting wild symbols. But I believe the Hit Frequency rate is high enough! The developer obviously gives an advantage to the Celestial God, as he's better valued, paying 10x, 25x, and 50x the bet for 8-9, 10-11, and 12+ symbols, respectively.
At the same time, the other part of the conflict, fiery-eyed Demon, pays 2.50x, 10x, and 25x the stake. Golden-maned Horse and Skeleton Minion are the average-paying symbols, awarding up to 15x and 12x, respectively. The low-valued figures land as poker royalties and numbers, paying in a wide range from 0.25x to 10x the bet.
Divine Battle is not a high roller type of online slot, and even some players with rather regular tastes for risk might find the max bet disappointing. They can choose from 15 stake levels, starting from €0.20 but reaching only €12 per spin. Unfortunately, that doesn't offer many strategy options for results optimization.
Another flaw is the Divine Battle RTP, which is slightly below the usual average - 95.97%. Although it jumps a bit with the help of the Bonus Buy tool, the rate remains insufficient, in my opinion. Levels of volatility are medium to high, and the maximum win is tasty - 15,000x the bet or up to a quite decent €180,000.
Divine Battle Features
Divine Battle game has a rather light bonus package, and the base game would lack modifiers almost completely if it weren't for the Refilling Reels. The situation slightly changes during the bonus minigame, where the provider has prepared frequent multipliers. Whether they will be enough, though, only time will tell!
Multiplier Symbols
The Multiplier symbols are active only during the bonus minigame. Each one has a value from 2x to 100x, and more than one can land during a refilling sequence. All remain on the screen through cascades, and at the end, their values are added together. The total multiplier then multiplies the total spin win.
Free Spins
Scatters can land on each reel, and they come with an interesting design, looking quite similar to the Dark Portal from World of Warcraft. The Orc warlock Gul'dan used Fel and help from the other side to link two worlds and allow the Hord to pass through. Well, the scatter portal here is blue and not green, but it's still quite powerful.
Four, five, or six scatters in view trigger the bonus and award 10, 20, or 30 free spins, respectively. During the minigame, three or more scatters in view add 5 extra rounds to the remaining balance. Free Spins is played with Multiplier symbols, but lacks a Global Multiplier, like in other slot with similar mechanics!
Booster Bet & Buy Feature
The Chance x2 feature is a booster that provides players with more chances to trigger the bonus minigame. In return, the base bet is increased by 25%, and that won't affect the regular payouts. Chance x2 is disabled if you decide to buy the bonus!
The developer has added an alternative tool that allows you to skip waiting entirely. Bonus Buy guarantees 4, 5, or 6 scatters on the following spin, but the player must pay the asking price of 100x the stake. Keep in mind that this feature slightly increases the slot's RTP rate from 95.97% to 96.03%.

Our Verdict
Divine Battle is a visually appealing slot, like most games. It's one of the few Fantasy-themed slots with Gates of Olympus mechanics, but sadly, it comes too light for most gamblers. Fans of advanced games with Cluster Pay or Multiway engines usually expect much more in terms of special features.
Divine Battle offers none in the base game and simply cumulative multipliers in the bonus minigame. The provider has released 10+ slots with similar mechanics so far, and each one has something on top to offer. Bone Bonanza has a special Progress Bar that enhances the Multiplier symbols in Free Spins.
Gemhalla is another good example by the provider, offering a light package, too, but Multiplier symbols reaching 500x each! It's a small comfort that Divine Battle has a higher maximum payout threshold compared to both alternative titles. Then again, the top prize is usually quite difficult to get anyway!
Perhaps the highest-rated slot in this category, Gates of Olympus 1000, remains superior in every aspect. It comes with a higher RTP, Multiplier symbols reaching 1,000x, and a progressive Global Multiplier during the Free Spins bonus. I guess most slot enthusiasts would appreciate these elements in today's spotlight game as well.
In conclusion, the slot is not a complete write-off for the provider, and I'm confident that many players will enjoy their time spent on it. The Hit Frequency rate is high enough to ensure regular hits, and the bonus is not too heavy to lift. I advise acting carefully with the Bonus Buy feature and spending some time with our free Divine Battle demo!
