It’s hard to keep an overview of all the Deal or No Deal slots that are out there, and another one joins the ranks with Deal or No Deal Golden Box Megaways. The Megaways engine does make this installment stand out a bit, but it’s still very similar to the previous Deal or No Deal Megaways. This is not all that surprising, as the game show concept is what it is.

You get Mystery Symbols and Cascading Wins in the base game, and the latter is how you trigger the 3 different levels of the Deal or No Deal Bonus. You need 7 consecutive cascading wins to trigger the Golden Box feature, which awards up to 30 free spins with extra mystery symbols and a progressive win multiplier. The main attraction is still the Deal or No Deal bonuses though, and you can win up to 10,000x your stake in all stages of the game.

Deal or No Deal Golden Box Megaways Slot Features

The premium symbols pay between 2 and 50 x your stake for 6 of a kind wins, and the top-tier box symbol will land you a small win even from 2 of a kind. The Wild symbol appears on the top horizontal reel only, and it steps in for pay symbols to help complete wins. Winning symbols are removed via the Cascading mechanic, and replaced by new and/or existing symbols dropping down from above. This process repeats as long as you keep winning.

The Mystery Symbols land as question marks, and all instances transform into a randomly chosen symbol. You need 4, 5, or 6 cascading wins in a row to trigger the Deal or No Deal Bonus, Super Bonus, or Mega Bonus, respectively.

This takes you to a new screen with 22 boxes in the middle, and prizes on either side. You pick boxes as you see fit, and this removes random prizes from the lists. The Banker calls once in a while to offer you a cash prize deal, and the feature ends if you accept it. When only 2 boxes remain, you get the cash prize that corresponds to the first box you choose. You are more likely to win larger cash prizes in the Super and Mega versions of the bonus round.

If you land 7+ consecutive Cascading wins you trigger the brand new Golden Box bonus round. This gives you a choice of 3 golden boxes, which awards up to 30 free spins. You can also win the golden box from the Mega tier of the bonus round. You get up to 100 Mystery symbols added per free spin, and the win multiplier increases by +1 per cascade. You can also retrigger the free spins round.

Review Summary

The Deal or No Deal series has plenty of installments by now, but not too many that run on the Megaway engine. Deal or No Deal Golden Box Megaways is similar to the previous Megaways installment though, except for the Golden Box feature. This is not a feature you will see too often either, as it’s hard to trigger. Fans of the game show will probably enjoy this game, however, as this is a popular concept.

The box selection bonus round is tense and nerve-racking, and taking the banker deal can be tempting at times. It does capture the essence of the game show in an engaging way, but the challenge is to come up with new extras that keep the series going. The 10,000x potential is fairly standard for the Megaways engine, but it’s still a solid max win. Overall, Deal or No Deal Golden Box Megaways is worth checking out, although you may have seen similar things plenty of times before.
