Our Verdict
The visual presentation in Danger! High Voltage 2 has undoubtedly been modernized, a welcome change considering the original's release was over 7 years ago. The once standard grid has transformed into a colossal machine, complete with pipes, moving springs, and exhaust billowing from the sides. It evokes the image of a monster truck parked amidst a disco dancefloor, an impression further amplified by the land-based slot machine spin tune.
However, this repetitive tune quickly became annoying, and the inability to disable it while keeping the soundtrack is disappointing. The game archaic interface and lack of customization options are overdue for an overhaul, and the addition of a turbo spin option would be appreciated. It's also worth noting that the original game's far more modest win cap still remains unclaimed to this day, despite the game's popularity.
The inclusion of the Megadozer is a bold move, one likely to divide the community.
