There aren’t all that many hacker slots out there from before, which is surprising in one way, so we certainly appreciate this effort in that regard. Cyber Attack should appeal to anyone who has ever dreamed about hacking into a slot machine, be that online or in a brick and mortar casino, as this is more or less what this game is about. The mysterious hooded hacker figures on the right-hand side, ready to go to work with his handheld device.

He will attempt to hack the system on a regular basis, and even when he doesn’t manage to breach all the firewalls you still get 1 of 3 features. These modifiers can lead to decent base game wins, and the bonus round triggers when the hacker breaches all the firewalls. The feature comes with a system that enhances the ways multiplier modifier, and you can win up to 10,500x your stake. Cyber Attack is a well made hacking slot overall, and we’re pretty sure a certain crowd will appreciate it.

Cyber Attack Slot Features

The premium symbols pay between 0.8 and 2.2 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, and you can land Wild symbols on the 3 middle reels only. The wilds hold no value of their own, but they step in for any pay symbol to help complete and/or improve wins.

The Breach Meter is located above the reels, and the hacker dude seen on the right-hand side will attempt to breach the system at random times between base game spins. Even if the hacking attempt is not 100 % successful, which triggers the bonus round, you will still get 1 of 3 different features:

• Symbol Hack - drops a random number of matching symbols onto the grid.
• Multiplier Hack - awards a ways multiplier between x2 and x5 to random positions, and the symbols in these positions count as the corresponding number of symbols.
• Wild Hack - spawn wilds in random positions on the 3 middle reels.

The Bonus Round triggers when the hacker is 100 % successful in his attempt to breach the system, and this gives you 6 free spins. A random symbol is infected by a hijack virus up front, and this symbol is stored above the reels whenever it appears. You can get up to 20 “hijacked” symbols in this storage, and you can also get 1 of the 3 features described above at random times.

If you get the multiplier hack feature in the bonus round, the number of hijacked symbols will become the ways multiplier. Wilds can be hijacked in addition to the chosen symbol, and the free spins tally can randomly “glitch” to award +1 to +3 extra spins. After the final free spin, you get all the hijacked symbols from left to right on the top row. The breach progress meter resets when you’re taken back to the base game.

Review Summary

Hacking a physical or online slot is probably something many players have dreamed about more than a few times, and Cyber Attack sort of caters to that dream. The developers have done a good job with the visuals, although it’s hard to avoid cliches with this kind of theme. The way the hooded hacker on the right-hand side has been worked into the gameplay is also engaging, as he will attempt to breach the system on a fairly regular basis.

The good news is that you get one of the 3 hacker features even if he doesn’t completely succeed in his attempt, and then you get the bonus round when he does succeed. The features are not too shabby on their own, but it would’ve been appreciated if they could combine forces at least in the bonus round. What you get instead is potentially higher ways multipliers, as well as the climactic final spin. The 10,500x potential is unusually solid, and Cyber Attack is worth checking out if you’re looking for a somewhat different slot experience.
