It’s true what they say – don’t judge a book by its cover. Looks can be deceiving. At first glance, this game might seem like just another entry in the crowded Egyptian-themed slot niche, built on the well-worn Hold and Win mechanics. And while you wouldn’t be entirely wrong, there’s a lot more going on under the surface.

Despite its modest layout and an overused theme, this game is a real slot blockbuster, as it actually comes packed to the brim with bonus features and has a humongous winning potential. To learn the details, read my review below.

Greeting the players is the tiny 3-reel, 3-row setup, where the actions of the game take place. Here, you have only 5 paylines at your disposal, where in order to achieve a win, you need to land 3 matching symbols. These include gems of different shapes and colors as well as other classic Egyptian icons, which pay from 0.1 to 1.5x your bet.

As we head over to the numbers department, this is where it becomes clear the game is a real beast, not just your typical no-frills adventure through the pyramids. When playing with the default RTP, you can spin your way to wins up to an impressive 15,022x the bet. When buying into the bonus, for some reason, that figure bumps up to 15,574x.

When I said default RTP, I meant the 95.9%, which you are likely to encounter at most online casinos. However, some venues can supply a different version, either a 94.26% or 92.12%, so pay attention to the rules before rushing in with a deposit.

Depending on the return value, the winning capabilities of the game alter. And not in a way you might think. The 94% version provides a max win of 15,126.2x the stake, while the 92% has an even higher value of 15,321x. The RTP also affects the win frequency – from the highest to the lowest payback options, the available hit rate is 29.22%, 27.03%, and 28.99%, respectively. As the logo hints, and as I already mentioned above, central to the gameplay of this game is the Hold and Win bonus. This is where most of the action unfolds. Still, there’s some potential for big wins in the base game too. Let’s break it down.

Wild Symbols

Ankh symbols are Wilds, and not only do they have the highest value among all of the paying symbols, they also substitute for other symbols in winning combinations, helping you to achieve payouts. More importantly, they can significantly boost any win, as each carries a random multiplier value, which can be either 2x or 3x. And these multiply each other when more than one Wild participates in the same combo.

Hold & Win Feature

Now to the main gimmick. Aside from the regular symbols, two types of special symbols can appear on the reels:

• Coin – appear with values 1x - 15x your bet attached to them.
• Jackpot Coin – appear with Mini, Minor, Major, or Grand prizes, worth 25x, 50x, 150x, or 1,000x your bet, respectively.
• Ra Coin – accumulates all cash values in view.

To trigger the bonus game, you need to land 3 or more Coin symbols anywhere on the reels during the base game. Note that at least one must be a Ra Coin. When activated, players proceed to special reels where only Coins and blanks are available with 3 respins to start with.

During the feature, Ra Coins lock in place for the remainder of the respins and accumulate values on each spin. When collected, Coin symbols are removed, and the respins counter is reset back to 3.

On each respin, a random position on the reels 1 or 3 is highlighted. If a symbol lands in that position, a random Ra Power Event will occur. These can be the following:

• Power of Coins – adds a random number of Coins to reels 1 and 3. If a position is already occupied, the value of that coin will be increased.
• Power of Multiplier – a random multiplier of either 2x, 3x, or 5x will be drawn and applied to all Coin symbols on reels 1 and 3.
• Power of Ra Coin – a new Ra Coin will be added to reel 2.
• Extra Power – from 5x to 100x will be added to the value of all Ra Coins.

Chest of Gold

You’ll probably notice a huge chest sitting on top of the reels. That’s the pot, where each Coin symbol that lands during the base game contributes. Each Coin is collected, and each grants a random chance to activate the Hold & Win feature. If this happens, a random number of Coins and Ra Coins will replace existing symbols on the reels. On average, this occurs every 404 spins. Meanwhile, naturally triggering the bonus will take theoretically only 86 spins.

Buy Feature

Those feeling impatient may feel inclined towards the bonus buy feature. For the cost of 70x the bet, it grants immediate access to the Hold & Win game.

Theme & Graphics

While the Egyptian theme is undeniably overused in the slots world and there's not a thing new to see, I can't say this game looks bad. Not at all. On the contrary, it was executed flawlessly. The design team has done such a great job that I can't praise it enough. The graphics, the animations, the sound design, everything is polished to perfection and of top notch level. It's like a high-budget, triple-A game in the world of slots.

Well, what can I say? This game is an absolute stunner. I’ve seen plenty of Egyptian-themed slots over the years, but this one perhaps makes it to my top list. Someone has taken a well-worn formula and turned it into something spectacular, with flawless visuals, top-tier animations, and a sound design that fully immerses you in the experience. You just have to hear those commentaries during the respins. That voice sent me goosebumps.

The winning potential here is truly massive, and that alone makes it worth a spin. Add up the adrenaline-pumping gameplay, and I can say this one leans into the unmissable category. Easy recommend.
