We weren’t super impressed by the predecessor release, and it seems like the studio would like to give the concept another go in a different wrapping. Chests of Gold Power Combo is close to being a reskin job, and including “Power Combo” in the title is probably a good idea to emphasize this game’s strong point. Heck, some players might not even have noticed this possibility before, unless they read the game info or actually triggered a combo.

The bonus round combos don’t come along all that often either, but they can certainly be powerful when they do. That being said, even having all 3 features rolled into the same bonus round is no guarantee for larger payouts. Speaking of, the 11,650x potential is the biggest change to this follow-up except for the Robin Hood inspired theme. Chests of Gold Power Combo is basically a reskin of their previous game, and it comes with the same dated feel to the visual presentation. Nothing much goes on in the base game, so you’re basically spinning along until you hopefully get to combine some bonus round features.

More often than not, however, you get a single feature trigger, and the low cost of these features tells you a lot about what kind of average win you can expect from them. Even combining all 3 sets you back “only” 110x your stake, but the bonus round is admittedly far more enjoyable when you’ve got 2 or 3 features going. The 11,650x potential is a tad higher than in the original game, but the Grand Jackpot still seems like the most likely way to get close.
