Get ready for another trip to the home of the ancient Greek gods. The visuals are well done for this genre, and it’s packed with potentially lucrative features. You get a wild multiplier system in the base game, as well as extra wilds and multiplier wilds.

You win by landing matching symbols in vertical or horizontal clusters anywhere on the 5x5 grid, and you win between 1 and 5 x your stake from the premium symbols. Wild symbols pay 25x your stake for 5 in a cluster, and wilds also step in for pay symbols to help complete or improve cluster wins. Winning symbols are removed and replaced, and this process repeats for as long as you keep winning.

Each Wild symbol in view takes you up the Multiplier Trail seen on the left for the next cascade, and everything resets between base game spins. You can also land special Zeus Lightning Wild symbols, and they add up to 4 extra wilds to the grid for the next cascade if part of a win.

The Link&Win bonus triggers when you have collected 8 Zeus Lightning Wilds that have been included in a win, and the number of collected wilds is saved between bet levels. All Link&Win symbols are sticky, and the respins counter resets for each new symbol you land.

The feature ends when you either run out of respins, or when you fill the grid with sticky Link&Win symbols. You can unlock different special symbols as you reach certain numbers of Link&Win symbols in view, and these are as follows:

• Medusa (22 collected Link&Win symbols) - comes with a value of 2x to 4x, and adds its own value to adjacent Link&Win symbols.
• The Zeus symbol can land at any time as well, and it pays 5x your stake. It also adds 5x to 2 to 5 random Link&Win symbols.

You need to trigger the Link&Win Bonus Round organically first, before the Bonus Buy feature becomes available. This is true in some jurisdictions at least, and it’s never available in the UK for sure. If eligible, you can purchase the feature for 70x your stake.

Review Summary

The game comes with Greek mythology visuals that are well done. The pace of the game flows smoothly, and the wild multiplier trail system is enough to keep the base game interesting. In addition, you get the Zeus Lightning Wilds, which can really spice things up, and this makes Champions of Olympus a well-balanced installment in the genre.

You can land solid payments in all stages of the game in other words, and the Link&Win feature is well above average as well. It’s always more exciting when special modifier symbols are included, and you get plenty of that in Champions of Olympus. The 12,500x potential tops this off as a solid game overall, and you can expect to win every other spin on average.
