We have followed this game closely from the get-go, and it’s always fun with developers that stick out a bit and do things their own way. Their back catalog is far from massive at this point, but what they have delivered so far is promising. Epic Strike is an attempt to compete in the ultra-popular and crowded instant scatter jackpot genre, and we have to say that it’s a pretty solid effort overall.
The visuals are nicely done, and the nudging stacked cat symbol is a charmer each time it appears. It can provide up to 9 Epic Strike scatters, and the number of cats on the reel strips increases per spin in the bonus round. Fill the grid with scatters to get to the nerve-racking Sweet 15 reveal game, where up to 15 x 1,000x prizes can be unwrapped. This is probably your best shoot at closing in on the 15,000x potential, and this game is well worth a closer look.
Slot Features
The premium symbols pay between 5 and 20 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, and you can land Wild symbols on reels 2, 3, and 4 only. The wild substitutes for any pay symbol, which helps complete and/or improve wins.
The Sticky Respin feature triggers when you land 4+ cat paw Scatter Coins anywhere in view. All scatter coins become sticky for a single respin, which may or may not land you more scatter coins. The Epic Strike paytable can be seen on the left-hand side, and you win 2x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 40x, 100x, 200x, or 500x your stake from 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, or 14 scatter coins anywhere in sight, respectively. This feature is available in the base game, as well as in the bonus round.
The Sweet 15 feature triggers when all 15 positions are filled with scatter coins, and it takes you to the top of the Epic Strike paytable seen on the left. The 15 scatter coins will then unwrap themselves one by one, and they reveal either a 1,000x prize or a no-value chocolate coin. The 15,000x potential can thus be cracked from this feature.
The fully stacked Cat Symbol can appear fully or partially in view on reel 3 at random times. It will nudge fully in place if it lands only partially in view, however, so it will always cover the full middle reel when present. It turns into 3 scatter coins, and it will also award up to 6 extra coins spread around on reels 2 and 4.
The Bonus Round triggers from 3, 4, or 5 lollipop scatters in view, and this awards 10, 14, or 20 free spins, respectively. You win 3, 5, 7, or 10 extra spins when you land 2, 3, 4, or 5 scatters on the same free spin, respectively. You get 5 Cat symbols added to the reel strips from the get-go, and +1 per free spin after that. This increases your chances of landing the nudging cat symbol on the middle reel the longer the bonus round lasts.

Review Summary
This studio has a refreshing way of doing things, and not least compared to many others. They may pick familiar themes and features for their releases so far, and they are only 7 slots deep, but they always put their own spin on things. You can sense that this studio has a higher ambition than simply churning out run of the mill stuff, and Epic Strike is a good example of that. We’ve seen plenty of Epic Strike releases for sure, but this game still took us by surprise in a positive way.
The candy and cat theme is admittedly not the height of creativity, but it has its charm nonetheless. The Sticky Respin feature adds a climactic finish to the Epic Strike feature, which is enjoyable, and the Sweet 15 unwrapping is pure nerve-racking delight to the tune of up to 15,000x your stake. The cat will tease you many times in the bonus round, but it never comes across as annoying, and it can award pretty solid payouts out of the blue. This game is another interesting release from a developer it’s well worth keeping an eye on.
