Cash Truck 2 Review
We have enjoyed the original Cash Truck, and sometimes we even play the Xmas version. Cash Truck 2 is a follow-up, and it’s a bigger version of the same game. The visuals are similar, and the change is in the desert city backdrop.
The base game was too basic in the first game for our taste, and this has now been improved by the inclusion of 2 special modifier symbols. You get the tumble wins unblocking position action, and the main attraction is the Truck Raider Bonus. It comes with new special symbols, and the 35,000x potential is more solid. Cash Truck 2 is a must try for both fans and new players.
Cash Truck 2 Slot Features
The premium symbols pay between 0.6 and 3 x your stake for 6 of a kind wins. You can also land Wild symbols that step in for all pay symbols to help complete and/or improve wins.
Winning symbols are removed via the Tumble mechanic, and the gaps are filled by new symbols dropping down from above. This process repeats as long as you keep winning, and each tumble win unlocks 3-5 random positions in the upper part of the grid.
Also the base game comes with a few modifier symbols, and The Compressor removes all symbols except scatters and wilds, which triggers the tumble mechanic. The compressor itself, as well as surrounding symbols, are removed when you land a non-winning tumble, and locked positions are unlocked if they are adjacent to the compressor.
In addition, you can land The Cloner symbol, and it will randomly choose between 4 and 8 symbols in view. All selected symbols will be transformed into one of the symbols on reel 1, and the Cloner itself also turns into the selected symbol. This may lead to a larger payout.
The Truck Raider Bonus Round triggers when you land 3 bonus scatters anywhere in view on the unlocked part of the grid. You get +1 extra Expander symbol guaranteed per additional triggering scatter above the minimum of 3, and the bonus round starts you off with 3 spins in the tally. Each non-blank symbol that appears resets the spin tally to 3 each time.
You will land cash symbols with random values, as well as special symbols, during the feature, and they remain sticky for the duration of the bonus round. However, they can be removed by other special symbols, as you will see in the overview below:
- Expander - unlocks 3 random positions from the blocked part of the grid.
- Booster - adds its own prize value to all unlocked area symbols in view.
- Super Booster - does the same as the above persistently on each spin that follows.
- Grabber - absorbs the cash prize value of all present unblocked area symbols.
- Super Grabber - does the same as the above persistently for each spin that follows.
- Doubler - doubles its own value each time the spin counter resets to 3 again.
- Cloner - pinpoints the highest value available in the unblocked area, absorbs it, and clones the value to a few empty positions.
- Compressor - grabs and absorbs the value of all symbols onto itself, while also removing the affected symbols to make room for more.
The Super Bonus Round triggers if at least 1 of the triggering scatters is a Super Bonus Symbol. The feature plays out exactly like the regular bonus round, but the triggering super bonus symbol turns into either a Super Grabber, Super Booster, or Doubler for the duration of the feature.
The Bonus Buy menu is available in some jurisdictions. It comes with 2 options, and eligible players can pay 85x the stake for at least 3 triggering scatters on the spin that follows. Alternatively, you can pay 250x your stake to get at least 2 regular scatters, as well as 1 bonus scatter. This awards the Super version of the bonus round, and the features come with an RTP of 96.6 and 96.74 %, respectively.
The 200 Spins Cash Truck 2 Slot Experience
You get a taste of the base game, before we purchase and trigger the Super Bonus Round. We got the minimum of 3 triggering scatters (including the super scatter), and you can see for yourself how we fared.
Review Summary
We have been waiting for this follow-up, while also enjoying the Xmas version. We had our hopes up for even more upgrades and tweaks. The desert mountains have been replaced by a dystopian city, and you now get a few base game modifier symbols. We still miss some kind of reward for unlocking all positions though, or perhaps a progressive unblocking multiplier of some kind.
You get special symbols in the Truck Raider Bonus Round, and 2 new special symbols have been thrown into the mix. They are all capable of making a dent, and not least the persistent ones. The super bonus round can be triggered organically, and the 35,000x potential is significantly bumped up. It comes with a 1 in 84,012,318 spins hit rate, and Cash Truck 2 is overall a follow-up that should please both fans and newcomers.
