It was released in December 2022, and it takes place on a playing field with 6 reels, 4 rows and 25 paylines.

The theme of Call of the Wild is all about wild animals, and there’s no doubt that one can do a lot with such a theme. Unfortunately, the designers of this very game didn’t get all that much from it, and the level of graphical polish is hardly high. Don’t get us wrong – Call of the Wild is by no means an eyesore, but it’s not a game that you’d want to play for how it looks.

Let’s now examine the mathematical model of Call of the Wild. Its volatility is medium, but we don’t have any info about its actual jackpot. We can tell you, though, that low rollers can try their luck for as little as £0.20 per spin. High rollers, meanwhile, can up the ante to as much as £400 per spin. Sadly, the theoretical RTP it all comes with is only 94.53%, which is more than 2 percent below the current industry average.

Call of the Wild Slot Features

There are 9 pay symbols in Call of the Wild, and it’s very much possible to divide them into two categories. First, there are four card rank symbols from Jacks to Aces, and they all pay the same, which is 4x your bet for a six-of-a-kind combination. Second, there are animal symbols that feature cougars, bears, horses, eagles, and even wolves. Wolves are worth the most, and you’ll get 15x your bet for a full set of six.

Aside from pay symbols, there are also Mystery symbols and Wolf Wilds.

Mystery symbols can be added to the reel at random, and they always automatically flip to reveal matching symbols after the reels stop spinning.

Wolf Wilds can then appear anywhere on the playing board, and they can naturally substitute for any of the pay symbols in winning combos. They also have payout values of their own, and you’ll receive a pleasant 15x win for a set of six.

On top of that, landing 6 Wolf Wilds triggers the Wild Win and Spin feature, which is a pretty simple take on the Hold and Win formula. You’ll get 3 respins to find more Wolf Wilds, and each new symbol that lands will reset your respins tally back to 3. If you manage to fill the entire board with Wolf Wilds before you run out of respins, you’ll get a juicy win. If you don’t manage to do that, you’ll get one final spin with regular symbols (with all the Wolf Wilds still held in place).

Finally, there’s also the usual Spin Chance feature. Whenever your bankroll drops below the selected bet level, you can risk it all for a chance to win another spin at that bet level. There are no guarantees that you’ll get it, however, so it probably makes more sense to just drop your stake down.

Review Summary

Unfortunately, we don’t have anything nice to say about Call of the Wild. Its gameplay isn’t particularly interesting, its audiovisuals aren’t appealing, and its theoretical RTP is well below average. With so many better slots out there, there’s just no reason to play this one!
