Bounty hunting wasn’t exactly the safest profession one could have in the wild west, but the rewards were decent. The average bounty was around £100, which equals around £3,000 in purchasing power compared to today. Bounty Raid 2 comes with 5 different outlaws to hunt down, including a Native American and what looks like a gambler. Their bounties are set to 3x, 10x, 15x, 20x, and 25x your stake, respectively, but the prizes can increase in different ways.

Bounty prizes up to 500x are possible in this game, which follows in the footsteps of the original success release. The Sheriff takes care of the bounty collection in the base game this time, while the female Bounty Hunter triggers a brand new Hold & Respins feature. It’s all about racking up as many bandits as possible, and their bounty prizes are upgraded per respin. The 2,372x potential could’ve been upgraded more, perhaps, but Bounty Raid 2 is a solid sequel nonetheless.

Bounty Raid 2 Slot Features

The premium symbols pay between 3 to 8 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, and there are no wild symbols in this game. You can land Bandit scatter symbols with cash prizes attached though, and these are collected when the Sheriff symbol is present at the same time. The bandit scatters can become sticky for up to 5 spins, and their cash values increase per spin when this is the case.

The bandit with the highest cash value clones its value to all adjacent bandit scatters, but this only happens if the Sheriff or Bounty Hunter symbol is in view. It also happens if a bandit is upgraded with a higher value, and will remain sticky for at least one more spin. Bandits come with values between 3 and 25 x your stake, and they can be upgraded with values up to 500x your stake at best.

The Sheriff symbol can appear on reels 1-2 and 4-5 only, and it collects all bandit scatter prizes in view. You can only land 1 Sheriff symbol at the same time, and you cannot land the Bounty Hunter symbol at the same time.

The female Bounty Hunter symbol comes in size 1x4, and it lands fully stacked on reel 3 when it appears. This triggers the Bounty Raid 2 slot Hold & Respins round, and you start with 3 respins. Landing new bandit scatters resets the respins tally each time, and the Bounty Hunter can also reset the spin tally at random times when no bandits appear. The bandits are sticky, and their values increase per respin. All the prizes are paid when the feature ends.

Review Summary

The original Bounty Raid has been a somewhat unlikely success, and it’s actually their top ranking slot. The simple bounty collecting gameplay must have some kind of magical appeal, and it’s therefore understandable that a sequel has been created that doesn’t stray too far from the original recipe. Some upgrades have been made though, and you get superior visuals and a stronger math model.

You get to collect Bounty prizes via the Sheriff symbol in the base game this time, and the Bounty Hunter symbol triggers a Hold & Respins round. The main aim is still to rack up as many bandits as possible, and their values are upgraded per respin instead of via the gold coin symbol. This is a pretty significant improvement, but we still think that the 2,372x potential could’ve been higher. Bounty Raid 2 is definitely a better game though, and well worth checking out.
