Booze Bash Review
Booze Bash offers players a water hole to quench both their thirst and gambling needs in a cocktail bar-themed slot that plays out on a 6x4 grid. The green devil bartender is busy mixing your next drink, and it’s safe to say that he puts his heart and soul (or lack thereof) into it. A drink character is already dancing on the bar, and if having a good time is what you’re after, this dive may have what you’re looking for.
Booze Bash stands out from other releases, however, even when it comes to the basics. You can choose bet levels between €0.1 and €100 per spin, catering to both careful and daredevil punters. Instead of paylines or win ways, Booze Bash utilizes an innovative Match 2 Win system, where symbol halves match on each reel segment to award their values. The lower value symbols range from 0.5x to 50x, with the 5 premium symbols awarding 100x, 250x, 500x, 1,000x your stake, or the 12,500x max win.
In addition, you can match multiplier symbol halves to create a global win multiplier, and up to multiple multiplier pairs can be multiplied together to boost all wins on the same spin. That pretty much sums up the base game, but there are 3 different bonus round tiers to look forward to as well. The Guilty As Gin bonus boasts more frequent high-value symbols, wilds, and multiplier symbols. The Top-Shelf Trouble bonus adds a top row ‘Bash Bar’ to help complete wins, and this Bash Bar can reveal special symbols in the top-tier Hell's Happy Hour bonus round.
It should be noted that the Hell's Happy Hour bonus cannot be purchased in the Bonus Buy menu, but the two lower-tier features are up for grabs. Booze Bash boasts a top-tier RTP of 96.31 %, but you should be aware that lower RTP settings are a possibility. This is a highly volatile release, scoring 4 out of 5 on their scale, and the hit frequency of 28 % means you can expect to win something almost every third spin on average.
Booze Bash Features
With its unusual win system and 3 bonus rounds, there is plenty to cover in the feature department of Booze Bash. We have already given you a brief overview, so now the time has come to dig deeper and expose all the details. Let’s jump in!
Match 2 Win, Wilds, and the Max Win symbol
The Match 2 Win system is all about matching two halves of the same symbol. Each reel segment lands two random halves that may or may not match, and if they match, the displayed bet multiplier is awarded. Wild symbols substitute for any pay symbol and pairing two wild halves awards 1,000x your stake. Matching the Max Win symbol halves together cracks the game’s win cap right there and then.
Multiplier Pairs
In addition to regular bet multiplier pairs, you can also land win multiplier pairs. When at least one reel segment reveals an x as the left half and a number as the right half, this multiplier becomes the global win multiplier for that round. If multiple Multiplier Pairs are revealed, the multipliers are multiplied together. The multiplier pairs range from x2 to x20, boosting all wins in the same round.
Guilty As Gin Free Spins
A single FS pair triggers the Guilty As Gin Bonus Round, awarding 10 free spins. The feature plays out similarly to the base game, but with a higher hit rate of high-value symbols, multiplier pairs, and wilds. In all 3 bonus rounds, each new FS pair you land awards +2 extra free spins.
Top-Shelf Trouble Free Spins
Landing 2 FS pairs on the same base game spin triggers the Top-Shelf Trouble Bonus Round, awarding 10 free spins with a Bash Bar added above the reels. After any win, the Bash Bar reveals either a dead symbol that does nothing or a pay symbol.
If the revealed Bash Bar pay symbol matches with a symbol half on the reel below, a paying pair is made. The Bash Bar symbol cannot match with existing winning pairs. Once the Bash Bar win is awarded, the converted symbol or symbols revert to their original type, making it possible to win two separate times in the same position.
Hell's Happy Hour (Hidden Epic Bonus) Free Spins
Landing 3 FS scatters in the base game triggers the Hell’s Happy Hour Bonus Round, once again awarding 10 free spins for starters. It plays out similarly to the Top-Shelf Trouble feature, but with the possibility of all special symbols being revealed in the Bash Bar.
If the Bash Bar reveals a wild symbol, the reel below turns wild. Multipliers in the Bash Bar are always activated first, boosting Bash Bar wins only. FS symbols revealed on the Bash Bar award +2 extra free spins per symbol, the same as FS pairs on the regular reels.
Booze Bash Bonus Buy (not UK)
The Bonus Buy menu is found via the circular green Buy Bonus button down to the left, and it comes with the following options in the Booze Bash slot:
- BonusHunt FeatureSpins - pay 3x your stake to increase your bonus round chances by 5 times.
- Guilty As Gin FS - costs 100x your stake.
- Top-Shelf Trouble FS - costs 200x your stake.
Theme & Graphics
Booze Bash is a wacky cartoon-style slot game that plays out in a worn-down Prohibition-era speakeasy. The jazzy soundtrack adds to the playful vibe, and the green-skinned devil mixing the drinks seems to be having the time of his life. The shelves are half-empty with pentagrams engraved all over the place, and a cocktail character is dancing enthusiastically on the bar. The monochrome backdrop is a stark contrast to the colorful symbols on the reels, which don’t really mesh with the rest of the theme.

Our Verdict
Booze Bash borrows ideas or concepts from other studios. The symbols in Booze Bash stick out like sore thumbs, and frankly, the color scheme is a bit of a mess.
It would’ve been better to make the bet multiplier the main focus of each symbol, instead of placing it like a small icon up in the corner. All you see are these spinning squares of different colors, and it hurt my eyes from the get-go. That being said, the unusual win system and visuals may grow on you if you give it some time, but it just didn’t do it for me.
I did like the soundtrack, though, and the dancing characters are somewhat charming. However, it feels like they didn’t quite know where they were going with this game. Why is the bartender a devil? Is it supposed to be an underworld-themed release or do the devilish character and pentagrams hint at the pitfalls of alcohol? It’s hard to say, really, but overall, the atmosphere is somewhat enjoyable if you ignore the cluttered and overwhelming grid.
Unlike in most slots, you don’t get the sense that massive wins can happen at any moment in Booze Bash. It’s theoretically possible thanks to the multiplier pairs, sure, but the game just doesn’t give off that “anything can happen” vibe. The regular bonus round enhances the base game experience a bit, but not all that much either. The top-tier bonus is certainly well hidden and it cannot even be purchased. This is a thumbs down from me, and it’s hard to tell what was thinking with this release.
