The Demi Gods franchise has a new addition with one more expansion of part four, which is already the third installment in the series. However, it’s a questionable release, hardly bringing any changes to the original game, providing pretty much the exact same experience.

Loading the game takes players to familiar locations that we’ve already witnessed in older games. We see the same 5x3 10-win line reels made up of familiar symbols set against the same background image, though it became much brighter. The whole setting changed to summerly, with a lot of greenery added to the wallpaper. Another Golden Era’s ‘major’ difference from its predecessors is the soundtrack, which now has deeper epic vibes. Aside from that, everything remained untouched.

True to the series’ style, the slot accepts bets from just €0.1 up to €100 per spin, which should appeal to many. The game’s volatility tends to the high side of the spectrum, and the maximum payout is capped at 5,000x the bet, which is somewhat of a standard. Several different RTP values are available, with 96.14% being considered the default one.

There are 9 regular symbols included, divided into two categories. As always, classic A-10 royals make up the lower lot, and the premiums consist of four characters, namely the gods. Slot Features

Traditionally, the most desired out of all are book symbols, which are Scatter and Wild at the same time. They basically act as substitutes for any of the regular symbols in winning combos, but when 3 or more land simultaneously, they trigger the Free Spins bonus.

Players receive 10 spins to start with and a fixed cash payout of 2x, 5x, or 250x the bet for landing 3, 4, or 5 book Scatters on the reels. Upon the trigger, players are taken to a Bonus Wheel, which determines the special expanding symbol for the feature, which can be any of the regular symbols. Special symbols expand to cover the reels entirely whenever a win is possible, and most importantly, they pay anywhere in view, independently from their position.

Review Summary

Well, there’s not really a ton to say about the slot. The edition had a bonus wheel consisting only of premium symbols and boasted a twice bigger payout potential, but this one offers nothing new except for a lighter tone of the background wallpaper and a new soundtrack. Therefore, there aren’t any reasons why you should switch from previous releases to The Golden Era game.
