Review Summary
The explorer dude looks a bit too much like an Instagram hipster for our liking, but we do appreciate the change of scenery. If this was yet another deep dive into a dusty ancient Egypt tomb we would be tempted to never return from it, so having an open blue sky in the background does lighten the mood a bit. Ba’al was the god of fertility after all, and this depiction of ancient Egypt looks fertile enough.
The gameplay is pretty standard stuff for the most part though, with the exception of the bolted on base game Mini Feature Round. You can expect plenty of dead spins and/or minuscule wins between Mini Round triggers, but at least you get something to look forward to on a regular basis, compared to the dry desert walk most games offer. Landing 5,000x from a single lucky expanding symbol spin is still the magic attraction, and here it can also happen in the base game.
