We don’t mind a fishing expedition once in a while, but there have been a bit too many lately to be honest. Once again you are invited to some peaceful fishing spot with the bearded fisherman, and the transparent reels are separated by bubbles rising to the surface. A frog sits there patiently on the right-hand side, and you will need a healthy dose of patience to power through the mostly uneventful base game.

Adding new twists and different visual experiences works for a while, but we wouldn’t mind something brand new or more experimental in future installments. Big Bass Bonanza Hold and Spinner comes with the same old bonus round, but with the added Hold & Spinner feature that is brand new.

The Hold & Spinner feature sticks out since the triggering symbols pay persistently for each new money symbol you land, but the waterfall looks a bit strange with the cross section of the pond behind it. Anyway, the 10,000x potential is higher than usual for this series, and it comes with a solid hit rate of 1 in 2,750,653 spins.
