Angry Dogs Review
This release knows how to please even the most experienced slot fans. Chances are that you wouldn’t expect much from a game called Angry Dogs, but don’t let that put you off in the slightest. This release delivers in every single regard, so stay with us for a bit while we explore its nooks and crannies! Let’s start with the playing field, which features 5 reels, 4 rows and a set of 25 paylines.
The theme of Angry Dogs is all about...well, dogs. That might sound simple, but the designers infused the visuals with so much style that it’s incredibly easy to fall in love with the entire package. The atmosphere of a dangerous neighborhood is certainly there, while the soundtrack is lively and only adds to it all. Even if you usually turn the audio off, we recommend that you keep it on for this game, at least for a while!
The official data sheet doesn’t list the game’s volatility, though we presume that it’s at least medium-high. The jackpot is massive, clocking in at 50,000x your bet, so there’s always a lot to play for. Players with all kinds of bankrolls can jump in, too, as the min bet is as low as £0.25. High rollers can take their stakes to up to £100, which is more than fine. Finally, we also have to praise the slot’s theoretical RTP. It stands at 96.36%, which means that it’s nicely above average.
Angry Dogs Slot Features
You can look forward to 8 well-designed pay symbols in Angry Dogs. They are all thematic, which means that there are no card symbols to be found anywhere in the mix. For low pays, there are dog bowls, bones, cans, and steaks. These pay up to 2x your bet for a five-of-a-kind combination. For high pays, there are 4 dogs of different breeds, with bull terriers leading the way as top pays. For a set of five bull terrier symbols, you’ll get a payout worth 20x your bet!
In terms of special symbols, Angry Dogs has mainly Bulldog Wilds, Collar Scatters, and Mystery Doghouses. Only Bulldog Wilds are straightforward, as all they do is that they substitute for other symbols to complete winning combinations.
Mystery Doghouses work essentially as Mystery Symbols. They appear in stacks of 4 symbols and, when they land, they trigger the Reveal feature. This will force them to reveal either a pay symbol or a special Golden Bulldog symbol. Golden Bulldog symbols can land as Scatters or as Bet Multiplier Paws that will give you a bet multiplier of up to 2,500x your bet!
Land 3 or more Collar Scatters to trigger the Free Spins feature, which is called Beware of Dogs Free Spins. Before it starts, you’ll have to pick a poster that will reveal your starting win multiplier. It can be 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 7x, or 10x. At the start of free spins, reels 2 and 4 will be full of Mystery Doghouses. Each free spin will increase the win multiplier by +1x and also nudge the stacks of Mystery Doghouses down. The feature continues for as long as Mystery Doghouses are in view. To make things go on, you can either land new ones, or find unique +1 Collar Scatters that nudge all Mystery Doghouses up by one position!
If you don’t want to wait for the required Collar Scatters to appear, you can use the Bonus Buy feature. This will set you back by 100x your bet, but using this feature actually also increases the slot’s theoretical RTP to 96.91%. In other words, it’s not a bad deal at all.
