Anaconda Uncoiled Review
Despite the somewhat dated appearance, the original Anaconda Wild had some success, and the wild-generating snake respins concept is kind of neat. The follow-up, Anaconda Wild 2, comes with a beefed up math model, as well as a grand finale random multiplier, but hasn’t really dethroned the first game. This is a bit surprising since it’s superior in our opinion.
It does explain the ‘back to the basics’ approach taken in this 3rd installment however, as Anaconda Uncoiled comes with a math model that resembles the first game more than the second. The 1,729x potential is a bit higher though, and the visuals are more or less the same. A ‘grand finale’ wild explosion has been added as ‘snake loops’ are completed, and the snake can now activate up to 2 extra reel sets.
Anaconda Uncoiled Slot Features
The premium symbols pay between 3 and 20 x your stake for 6 of a kind wins, and the Mayan priestess is the top-tier symbol. The regular wild steps in for all regular pay symbols to help complete winning combinations, and it pays the same as Mayan priestess symbol if you land a pure wild win.
The Special Wild looks like some kind of turquoise flower with a similar colored gemstone in the middle, and only 1 can land during the base game. This is enough to trigger the Wild Respins feature however, and the special Wild is then held in place for the duration of the bonus round.
A golden gemstone-decorated snake comes out of the wild in a random position on the first respin, and it moves 1 position in a random direction per respin that follows. Each position the snake covers is filled by the regular wild symbol, and the process repeats until the snake head ends up in the starting position.
Once the snake has “bitten its own tail”, so to speak, and come full circle, it slithers back into the Special Wild “den” where it came from, along with all its generated wild symbols. The Special Wild then jumps to the middle position and explodes, scattering all the collected wild symbols onto random positions on the grid for a final win calculation.
The snake can also activate extra reel sets, and this happens if it moves either up or down outside of the original grid. It will then continue to move on this new reel set until it finds its way back home. You can land a new Special Wild symbol on any given respin, and this spawns a new wild generating snake that plays out in the same manner. The feature only ends when the final Special Wild has exploded.
The 200 Spins Anaconda Uncoiled Slot Experience
Nothing very interesting happened for us in the base game, so you can safely skip to the 1-minute mark, where the Wild Respins feature starts. The snake soon activated a new reel set for us, and after a while we even landed a new Special Wild within the loop created by the first snake. The highlights video lasts for 3:39 minutes, and you can check it all out for yourself by hitting the play button below.
Review Summary
It would have been nice to see some improvements in the visual department at this point, but this 3rd installment looks as dated as the previous games. Everything revolves around the Wild Snake Respins feature, as usual, but the full-circle random multiplier from Anaconda Wild 2 is long gone. This is a bit sad actually, as it would have been nice to have some kind of multiplier action in this release too. Perhaps they can combine forces next time, who knows.
What you get instead, of course, is the Special Wild explosion in the end, which spreads wilds to random positions across the grid. Going out with a bang like that makes the main attraction in Anaconda Uncoiled superior to the original Anaconda Wild, and the extra grids you can get is also a nice touch. The 1,729x potential is a bit better than the first game, but far from the 25,000x you get in the second. The volatility is less brutal though, making this release more suitable for casual punters.
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
Respins with wild-generating moving snake | The 1,729x potential is not all that impressive |
Snake can activate upper/lower extra grids | Beware of adjustable RTP ranges |
Up to multiple wild-generating snakes per feature |
If you enjoy Anaconda Uncoiled Slot you should also try:
Anaconda Wild - is the original release from 2018, and it comes with very similar Mayan-inspired visuals. The Stone Serpent creates wilds underneath itself when it slithers across the grid per respin, and you can win up to 1,000x your stake from a single snake loop sequence.
Anaconda Wild 2 - is the follow-up from early 2021, and it plays out on a similar Mayan-themed 6x4 grid with 50 paylines. The Special Wild triggers the wild-generating Snake Respins feature also here, and you’ll benefit from a multiplier up to x25 when the snake loop is completed. This can lead to payouts up to 25,000x your stake.
Snake Arena - is a release that also revolves around a snake feature, and the snake will try to eat the knight during the Wild Chase base game feature. It leaves wilds in its wake, and it gets a new knight to chase for each bonus round spin. A fixed jackpot of 1,000x can come from the feature, and the overall max win is 2,758x your stake.
