There are plenty of gods to pick from in the ancient Greek pantheon, and this might just work its way down the Olympus hierarchy with this series. It started with a homage to the alpha-god himself, and Amazing Link Apollo is all about the all-seeing god of archery, music, dance, truth, poetry and prophecy, to name a few of this popular deities most important traits.
The two installments are very similar indeed, and the only real difference is found in the bonus round. The original game came with a random Amazing Reel per spin, while this follow-up title comes with 3 options where up to 3 reels can be “Amazing” and land cash symbols and wilds only. You can even upgrade reels during the feature, making this version somewhat more exciting than the predecessor.
Amazing Link Apollo Features
You need at least 6 Amazing symbols anywhere in sight to trigger the Amazing Link feature. These symbols are hard to miss, as they come with a random cash value attached and look like shining golden discs. All triggering symbols are locked in place, and you are then awarded 3 respins for starters.
The respins tally resets to 3 again for each new Amazing cash symbol you land, and all cash symbols become sticky. You can land Mini, Minor and Major jackpot symbols during the feature as well, and these award the corresponding jackpot seen on the left-hand side. These are fixed jackpots worth 20x, 50x and 500x your stake, respectively.
The feature ends only when you run out of respins, or when you fill the whole screen with cash symbols. Being very similar to Amazing Link , Amazing Link Apollo is also a fairly run-of-the-mill Ancient Greece release. We see plenty of similar titles being churned out every month, so it’s a bit hard to be excited about all of them. The Amazing Link feature comes with rather small cash symbol prizes, and nothing much will come from it unless you land the Major or Mega jackpot.
It can be somewhat of a thrill if you come close to filling the screen though, as is usually the case with this kind of feature. The bonus round can produce some tense moments if you rack up enough Amazing Reels, or unlock the tier 3 option. Stacked wilds can lead to 200x payouts for a full screen, so nothing exceptional is possible without the Amazing Link Jackpots. Keep in mind that the random Pick Jackpot game cannot be triggered in the bonus round.
