There are 8 pay symbols in Alchemy and they are neatly divided into two categories. First, there are low pays that show four cards ranks. Even these can bring you nice wins, though, as a set of five Aces pays 10x your bet. Second, there are 6 thematic symbols that seem to have something to do with alchemy. They look like an ancient script of some kind and they can pay up to 40x your bet for a set of five matching symbols. That’s fine, but the problem is that they all look rather similar, so it’s all a bit confusing.

For special symbols, Alchemy has Lion Wilds and Sun Scatters. Lions Wilds can substitute for other symbols in winning combos, while Sun Scatters trigger the Free Spins feature.

The Free Spins feature is the only real gameplay feature in the slot and you’ll get to it by finding 3 or more Sun Scatters on the board. You’ll get a coin win, but the more important part is that you’ll also get 12 free spins, with retriggers possible as well. Ultimately, there are issues with what Alchemy brings to the table. The theme is nice, but the designers didn’t do a lot with it. The audiovisuals are average and there’s only one gameplay feature for you to enjoy. Sure, it’s nice to get all those Expanding Wilds, but it’s not nearly enough for a general recommendation.
