Having used the instant scatter jackpot concept, the developer is seemingly looking to expand their repertoire with another classic concept. The very similar feature is instead called ‘Mini Reel Bonus’ in this release.

All the symbols are inspired by classic fruit machine type games, with flaming triple 7s throning at the top of the paytable. Getting 3-oak 7 symbols is what it’s all about when the Mini Reel Bonus triggers as well, as this is how you win the top prize on either of the 3 different mini slots. The orange mini slot pays up to 2,000x your stake, while up to 6,000x your stake can be won in the multiplier bonus round.

The premium symbols consist of single, double and triple flaming 7s, and they pay 5, 15 or 30 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins. Any combo of 7 symbols pays 2.5x your stake for the same, while the Wild symbol pays 30x your stake for 5-oak. Landing 3+ Mini Reel Bonus Symbols triggers the Mini Reel feature, and each of the triggering mini slots will then spin one after the other. The mini reels come with 3 reels and 1 payline, and they also come with 3 different colors that indicate the top prize. The top prize is won by landing three 7 symbols, and they are as follows:

• The Blue Mini Reel top prize is 50x your stake.

You can also land smaller payouts up to 15x your stake from each of the mini reels, but most commonly you will get a mix of any symbols. This pays only 1x your stake.

Landing 3 scatter symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4 triggers the Bonus Round, and you start by spinning the Free Spins and Multiplier Wheel. You will thus get between 7 and 30 free spins, combined with a multiplier of x2, x3 or x5. The multiplier applies to all regular line wins, but it does not apply to Mini Reel payouts. Review Summary

It cannot be denied that the developer has basically ripped off the concept in this release, as 777 Surge comes with a very similar Mini Reel Bonus. Regular payouts top out at 600x your stake in the base game, or 900x if you somehow manage to fill the grid with wilds. The Orange Mini Reel is thus your best chance at closing in on the 6,000x potential outside of the bonus round, as the top prize from the 2 other mini slots is basically a top-up win.

In our experience, getting anything but 3 mixed symbols that pay 1x your stake didn’t seem all that easy. Also, unless you win an actual top prize, 15x is the most you can hope for anyway, which isn’t very impressive. The multiplier bonus round is fairly standard stuff, and it would have been more fun if the multiplier also applied to the Mini Reel prizes. This is sadly not the case however, but fans of the whole mini slot concept might find this installment enjoyable.
