We had this one pinned down as some kind of copycat job at first glance, but 4 Masks of Inca took us by surprise in that regard. This ancient Inca release stands firmly on its own two feet, and it comes with a solid audiovisual presentation to boot. The theme has been seen before for sure, but the developer has managed to make it their own to large enough degree that it sticks out in a positive way. The fact that it also comes with somewhat innovative features is a big plus as well.
The Boost feature is tempting, of course, but we only wish the developer would be more specific and transparent about the benefit stats. You can land decent multiplier wild wins in the base game, in addition to the occasional Wild prizes, and the Inca Battle is a nerve-racking jackpot prize feature. The upgrading of sticky wild multipliers in the bonus round can lead to solid back-to-back wins on a good day, and up to 20,000x your stake is possible. 4 Masks of Inca is a solid game in all departments, but it may still drown in the noise of all the other Inca/Maya/Aztec releases out there.
